yay blogger! i'm writing for the opposite reason as you, Gail. I have tons of work to do and i'm procrastinating. I came here to the computer lab to make myself work, but i would like to delay the inevitable a bit longer, so i'll write a bit. The whole playing bass for a rock band thing didn't work out like i had hoped. The band moved in with me for a few weeks, but we didn't practice enough and they had no money and no jobs here, so they moved out a few days ago. Oh well. We did manage to remodel my bathroom though, which now looks beautiful and our landlord is paying us for it... not much, considering the amount of work we put into it, but that's ok. Mostly now, i'm working on preparing for this meeting i have in Louisville next Saturday with the cohousing people. It's pretty scary: i've never had so many people in the real world depending on me to do a good job on something. The harder i work, the more likely it is that this thing will get built. If i slack off, the idea will probably fizzle. It's a pretty novel concept to a lifelong student. As a student, only i am affected if i slack off.
From Louisville, i take the bus to Nashville, then fly to Philly, then the train to Jersey. I'll be around on the East coast from July 23 to August 3. Perhaps i can borrow my old van back (which is back on the farm in New York) for a bit and come visit ya'll. (Speaking of Derrick, do Gail or Dennis with their shiny new liscenses wish to borrow a crummy old van for awhile? For a year and a half perhaps?
